Ep 7. Smoking Out the Nolans

Marshal Matt Dillon, Chester and Doc Adams receive a letter from a man named Abelia asking for their help. The man reveals he is the owner of a ranch that has been overrun by the Nolans. The Nolans are a family that believe in controlling everything their own way. Abelia says that they have been trying to drive him off the land for years and they have been successful. Abelia is frustrated and has no other choice but to get help from outside.

Matt Dillon decides to investigate and when they reach the ranch, they see that the Nolans are already in action. The Nolans have set fire to several buildings around the ranch. Matt and his men have to act fast to save the remaining buildings. Matt suspects that the Nolans are up to something big and decides to camp near the Abelia ranch. He plans on stopping the Nolans from achieving whatever they have planned.

Matt and his team watch the Nolans from their campsite and see that they are planning to rob a stagecoach. Matt decides to stop the Nolans from robbing the stagecoach and ambushes them while they are in the middle of their planning. The Nolans appear to have the upper hand, and they capture Matt and Chester. The Nolans threaten to hang Matt and Chester unless their demands are met.

Doc Adams who had been waiting in the wings, appears with a sly plan to save Matt and Chester. He reveals that he had set a trap for the Nolans and when the Nolans realize their cunning plan has backfired, they attempt to flee. Matt and his team go after the Nolans causing a gunfight to ensue. In the end, the Nolans are defeated, and Matt is able to save the day.
