In the Growing Pains season 2 episode, Carnival, the Seaver family, along with their friends, attend the annual carnival in their neighborhood. The carnival is a time for everyone to have fun, eat carnival food, and enjoy exciting rides.
As the Seavers enjoy the festivities, they run into a group of bullies who attempt to ruin their fun. Mike and Ben get into a scuffle with the bullies, but Jason steps in to try and resolve the conflict by speaking with the bullies' parents.
Meanwhile, Carol sees a fortune-teller and is told that she will meet someone special soon. She dismisses the fortune-teller's prediction, but spends the rest of the carnival daydreaming about the possible suitors she might meet.
Elsewhere, Maggie has a run-in with an old flame, who attempts to rekindle their past relationship. Maggie must decide if she wants to give him a second chance or focus on her current relationship with Jason.
As the day comes to a close, the Seavers and their friends reflect on the fun they had at the carnival, and the lessons they learned about standing up for themselves and making wise choices in relationships.
Overall, Carnival is a lighthearted and fun episode of Growing Pains that presents relatable experiences of growing up and dealing with bullies, relationships, and the uncertainties of the future.
