In "Silence of the Slams," the thirteenth episode of Grimm's fifth season, Nick and Juliette continue their search for the elusive stick, which has the ability to orchestrate the movement of creatures that have long been thought of as mere legends. Meanwhile, Monroe and Rosalee discover that the Wesen Council has plans to put them on trial, and soon-to-be parents Hank and Zuri decide to take a romantic weekend getaway to a spa.
As Nick, Juliette, and Trubel work together to track down the stick, they find themselves in the middle of a wrestling match, where they meet a trio of powerful luchadores. The luchadores take the form of eagles, jaguars, and bulls, and prove to be formidable opponents, even for a Grimm. As Nick continues to search for the stick, he learns about a secret society of Wesen that has been working behind the scenes for centuries, manipulating the movements of creatures around the world.
Meanwhile, Monroe and Rosalee try to find a way to defend themselves against the Wesen Council's accusations. They enlist the help of a lawyer who specializes in Wesen law, but soon realize that even he may not be enough to save them. As the trial date approaches, tensions rise, and Monroe and Rosalee must rely on each other more than ever before.
Back at the spa, Hank and Zuri enjoy a few days of rest and relaxation, but soon discover that the spa is a hotbed of Wesen activity. They find themselves drawn into a dangerous game of cat and mouse, as they try to uncover the identity of a rogue Wesen who has been attacking the spa's guests. As they delve deeper into the mystery, they learn about a group of Wesen who believe that the key to their survival lies in the creation of a new type of Wesen, one that is immune to the effects of the Grimm's powers.
In the end, Nick and his team discover the true power of the stick, and learn about the secret society that has been manipulating the world's creatures. Monroe and Rosalee's trial comes to an unexpected conclusion, and Hank and Zuri find themselves facing a threat that may be too great for them to overcome. As the season draws to a close, the stakes are higher than ever, and the fate of the Wesen world hangs in the balance.
