Meredith Grey and the rest of the doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital are back for another week in season 13's episode 4 of "Grey's Anatomy," entitled "Falling Slowly." As always, they are facing new medical challenges while also dealing with the personal drama that tends to follow them wherever they go.
In "Falling Slowly," the episode begins with Meredith trying to push past the tension between her and her new roommates, Nathan and Alex, as they all try to get ready for the day. Meanwhile, in the hospital, the doctors are dealing with a wide range of patients, from a woman who is struggling with paralysis after a car crash to an old man who seems to be losing his memory.
Throughout the episode, we see Meredith trying to juggle her personal life with her job, as she struggles to find a balance between the two. With Nathan and Alex constantly in each other's presence, Meredith begins to feel like she is in the middle of their growing conflict, which only adds to her stress.
As the day goes on, the doctors in the ER are faced with a difficult dilemma when a patient arrives with two very different medical conditions at once. Meanwhile, back in the hospital, Jo and Stephanie try to help a woman who is suffering from a rare and deadly condition, while also dealing with the emotional toll it takes on them.
As always in "Grey's Anatomy," there is also plenty of personal drama to go around. Maggie is struggling with her own feelings after seeing Meredith and Nathan kiss, while April and Jackson continue to deal with their own marital problems. In addition to all of that, Owen and Amelia are still dealing with the aftermath of their fight, leaving everyone wondering what their future holds.
All in all, "Falling Slowly" is another jam-packed episode of "Grey's Anatomy" that is sure to keep fans on the edge of their seats. With both medical and personal storylines at play, there is never a dull moment in the world of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.
