Upon arriving at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, viewers will be transported right into the action of Grey's Anatomy season 13 episode 22, titled Leave It Inside. This gripping episode, which runs for roughly 43 minutes in total, picks up where the previous episode left off. The staff at the hospital is still buzzing with excitement after learning that Harper Avery's foundation is going to be awarding a $5 million grant to the hospital. Despite this good news, though, tensions are still high at the hospital as the doctors struggle to manage their patients and personal lives.

The episode kicks off as we see Dr. Stephanie Edwards, played by Jerrika Hinton, making rounds with Dr. April Kepner, played by Sarah Drew. As they check on patients, Stephanie jumps between keeping her cool and totally losing her patience with April's constant chatter. The ladies quickly get pulled in different directions though, with April being called upon to help one of her patients who is experiencing some unexpected complications. Meanwhile, Stephanie is approached by a patient named Erin, who is experiencing some discomfort and is sure that something is seriously wrong with her. Stephanie listens to her concerns, then runs a series of tests on her to determine what might be causing her symptoms.

Elsewhere in the hospital, Dr. Miranda Bailey, played by Chandra Wilson, is tasked with overseeing an incredibly complex surgery. She's able to stay focused, even amid all the distractions, and guides the resident surgeons through each and every step of the procedure. The surgery is intense and goes on for what feels like hours, but Bailey remains cool as a cucumber throughout, holding the team together and ensuring that everything runs smoothly.

As the episode progresses, viewers are introduced to several new characters- including a patient named Misty who is in desperate need of a kidney transplant, a surgeon named Nathan who is determined to challenge Dr. Riggs on his medical decisions, and an intern named Andrew who is struggling to balance his work and personal life. Each of these characters brings something new and engaging to the table, adding depth and dimension to the already colorful cast of characters.

One of the most interesting storylines in this episode centers around a patient named Sally. Sally comes into the hospital with a mysterious ailment that no one seems to be able to diagnose. She's passed from doctor to doctor, each one more bewildered and confused than the last, until she winds up in the care of Dr. Alex Karev, played by Justin Chambers. Alex is determined to figure out what's wrong with Sally, and he pulls out all the stops in his investigation. He's finally able to determine the root cause of Sally's problems- a rare disease that he's only seen once before in his entire career. Alex presents his findings to the rest of the staff, but he's met with skepticism and resistance. His colleagues are hesitant to believe him, given how rare the disease is, but he's not one to give up easily. He pushes harder and harder until he's able to convince everyone that his diagnosis is correct, and he quickly puts together a plan for treating Sally and helping her on the road to recovery.

Overall, Grey's Anatomy season 13 episode 22 is a must-watch for any fans of the show. It's packed with tense medical drama, fascinating characters, and plenty of plot twists that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats. As the season draws to a close, this episode serves as a reminder of just how incredible the show can be, and how much we'll miss it when it's finally over.
