Hal Jordan and his team are headed for the furthest reaches of space in episode 6 of Green Lantern: The Animated Series. The episode, titled "Reckoning," sees the crew of the Interceptor find themselves in a precarious situation. Their ship is running low on power and crash lands on an out-of-the-way planet, leaving them stranded and vulnerable.
As they begin their efforts to repair the ship, the Green Lanterns discover that they are not alone on the planet. A group of scavengers, who are desperate to get off the planet, also reside there. The team must decide whether to trust these strangers and work together to find a way off the planet or defend themselves against any potential threats.
Meanwhile, Aya, the sentient artificial intelligence aboard the Interceptor, comes to a stunning realization. Despite her best efforts to be more human-like, she comes to the conclusion that she can never truly understand what it means to be alive. Her existential crisis causes her to question her place on the ship and whether or not she should continue to aid the Green Lanterns in their mission.
As tensions rise and the danger increases, the Green Lanterns are forced to make some difficult choices. Will they work with the scavengers to find a way off the planet or will they try to go it alone? And will Aya come to terms with her existence and choose to stay with the team or will she decide to leave?
"Reckoning" is a thrilling episode that explores the complex relationships and philosophical questions at the heart of the series. Along with the stunning visuals and action-packed plot, viewers are sure to be on the edge of their seats throughout the episode.
