Oliver and Lisa discover that their neighbor Eleanor is looking for a husband and decide to help her find one. Initially reluctant to interfere in her personal life, they eventually succumb to the pressure Eleanor exerts on them and set to work finding her a suitable match.
The trio creates a list of eligible bachelors in the town and begins interviewing them. However, the process doesn't go as planned, as all of the men seem to have some flaw or the other that make them unsuitable for Eleanor. Finally, they come upon a young man named Freddy who seems perfect. However, Eleanor insists on testing him before making any commitments, and they set up a grueling series of tasks for him to complete.
As the trials progress, Freddy begins to come apart at the seams, and it becomes clear that he is not the man for Eleanor. Meanwhile, Oliver and Lisa are becoming increasingly frustrated with the whole process and realize that Eleanor's insistence on finding a husband may be masking deeper issues.
They confront Eleanor about their concerns, and she reveals that she is afraid of growing old alone and feels like a burden on her friends. Oliver and Lisa reassure her that she is loved and valued, but Eleanor remains unconvinced.
In the end, it is Oliver who comes up with a solution. He suggests that Eleanor join a local club for women her age, where she can make friends and socialize without the pressure of finding a husband. Eleanor is hesitant at first, but eventually agrees to give it a try.
The episode ends with Eleanor leaving for her first meeting at the club, with Oliver and Lisa waving her off with big smiles on their faces. They realize that while they may have failed to find her a husband, they have helped her in a much more important way: by reminding her that she is loved and has a place in the community.
