Oliver and Lisa Douglas's plans for a relaxing weekend in the country are thwarted when they find out their attic is haunted by a family of ghosts. The couple decides to flee to New York City to escape the spooky situation. However, their attempts to find a temporary home in the city prove to be disastrous, as they struggle to adjust to city life. Meanwhile, back in Hooterville, the ghost family is causing chaos for Eb and the rest of the locals.
