Ep 24. Lisa's Vegetable Garden

Oliver and Lisa are determined to grow vegetables in their garden. With spring approaching, Lisa is excited to plant a variety of vegetables for their personal consumption. She consults the local gardening expert, Hank Kimball, who informs her that the soil is not suitable for her desired vegetables and suggests remedying it with fertilizer and compost. Lisa is excited to start working on the garden and getting her hands dirty.
Meanwhile, Oliver is a bit skeptical of the idea of growing their own vegetables. He sees it as a waste of time and money, as they could easily purchase fresh produce from the market. However, Lisa insists on pursuing the endeavor and convinces him to give it a try.
As they prepare the soil for planting, they encounter some unexpected challenges. First, they discover a gopher has taken up residence in their garden and is wreaking havoc on their plants. Oliver tries to trap the gopher, but it seems to outsmart him at every turn.
Next, they encounter issues with their irrigation system. The water pressure in their pipes is not sufficient for the amount of water they need to sustain their plants, and they struggle to find a solution.
Despite these setbacks, Lisa remains determined to make her vegetable garden a success. She spends long hours tending to the plants, constantly monitoring their growth and progress.
As the season progresses, their garden begins to flourish, and Lisa's hard work pays off. They are able to successfully grow a variety of vegetables, including lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers. Oliver is impressed by the quality and taste of the produce, and begins to see the value in growing their own food.
The episode concludes with a happy family dinner, where they enjoy a delicious meal made entirely from their home-grown vegetables. Lisa beams with pride as she watches her family enjoy the fruits of her labor. Despite the challenges they faced along the way, she is content knowing that she was able to create something special for her family to enjoy.
