Ep 14. A Dark Knight: Reunion

In A Dark Knight: Reunion, the fourteenth episode of season four of Gotham, we see the return of Jerome Valeska, the Joker-like villain who has been a thorn in Jim Gordon's side since the beginning of the series. Jerome has been absent for a few episodes, and his reappearance sends shockwaves through the city of Gotham.

Meanwhile, Gordon is dealing with his own problems. Harvey Bullock, his longtime partner and friend, has resigned from the GCPD and is working as a bartender. Gordon is trying to convince him to come back to the force, but Harvey is hesitant. Gordon is also dealing with the fallout from a raid gone wrong. Some of his fellow officers were injured, and Gordon is feeling responsible. He's struggling to come to terms with what happened and how he can make things right.

Elsewhere in Gotham, we see the return of Lee Thompkins, the former love interest of Jim Gordon. She's been off-screen for a while, but we learn that she's been working as a doctor and helping people in need. She's back in Gotham now and is reunited with Gordon. They have a heart-to-heart conversation about their past and how they feel about each other now. It's clear that there are still some unresolved feelings between them.

As all of this is happening, Jerome is wreaking havoc throughout the city. He's on the hunt for his sister, who he believes has information about their true identity. His search leads him to a high school where his sister used to attend. He takes the students and faculty hostage, including a young Bruce Wayne. Bruce is forced to confront Jerome face-to-face, and the two have a tense conversation about the nature of chaos and the role that Bruce will play in Gotham's future.

As Gordon and the GCPD try to figure out a way to stop Jerome, they're aided by another familiar face: Oswald Cobblepot, aka the Penguin. Penguin has his own reasons for wanting to stop Jerome, and he puts his resources to use in order to help Gordon and the rest of the GCPD.

The episode builds to a thrilling climax as Gordon, Harvey, Lee, Penguin, and the rest of the GCPD launch an all-out assault on the high school. They're able to take down Jerome and his followers, but not without casualties. In the aftermath, Gordon grapples with the cost of being a hero and the toll that it takes on those around him.

A Dark Knight: Reunion is a tense and action-packed episode that brings together some of the show's key characters and sets the stage for the rest of the season. It's a great example of the show's strengths: compelling characters, thrilling action, and a dark and moody atmosphere. Fans of Gotham won't want to miss this episode.
