She's the perfect combination of beauty, brains, and charm, and is the envy of every girl in school. Julien is always on top and has a perfect life, or does she? Her facade starts to crumble as she starts to feel the pressure of living up to everyone's expectations and the pressure to maintain her perfect image.

Whitney Peak plays Zoya Lott, a new student at Constance Billard School, who comes into Julien's world and threatens to disrupt it entirely. Zoya is smart and determined, and Julien sees her as a threat. As a character, Zoya's journey is to find her place in this new world full of people who are nothing like her, and the show does a good job of documenting her journey.

Tavi Gevinson as Kate Keller, the new English teacher at Constance Billard. She seems strict on the surface, but underneath it all, she has a lot of compassion and is an advocate for her students. Kate is one of the few characters who consistently challenges the students to think for themselves and encourages them to be themselves even in the midst of pressure and chaos.

Throughout the show, we get to know the other students at Constance Billard, including the siblings Monet and Luna, who are Julien's partners in crime. Obie, Julien's ex-boyfriend and best friend, who is trying to stay true to himself despite his wealth and privilege.

One thing that stands out about Gossip Girl is the show's attention to fashion. Similar to the original series, the show's characters dress their best in every scene, and their wardrobes are nothing less than stellar.

Another aspect that the show does well is the music. Gossip Girl has always been known for its excellent music selection, and this reboot does it just as well. The show uses some of the best music from the past and present and gives the scenes an extra oomph.
