In episode 9 of Gosick's first season, titled "E 9," we find our main characters, Kazuya and Victorique, once again embroiled in a mystery they must solve. The episode begins with the discovery of a body in a locked room, which brings to light an age-old feud between two noble families - the de Blois and the Saint-Margarets.
Kazuya and Victorique are hired by the Saint-Margarets to investigate the murder, and they visit the de Blois family estate to gather clues. While there, they meet the head of the family, Marquis Albert de Blois, who is a quirky and eccentric man with a penchant for collecting oddities. The two detectives also encounter various other members of the de Blois family, including Marquis Albert's wife, daughter, and grandson.
As the investigation progresses, Victorique begins to uncover dark secrets about the de Blois family's past and their involvement in a plot to overtake the Saint-Margarets' land. Meanwhile, Kazuya finds himself drawn to the de Blois family's daughter, Cordelia, and the two share a romantic moment together.
The episode takes a suspenseful turn when Victorique and Kazuya discover that the real killer is still on the loose and has set his sights on the Saint-Margarets themselves. In a race against time, the detectives must gather enough evidence to expose the killer's identity before it's too late.
As with all episodes of Gosick, "E 9" is rich with intricate details and cleverly crafted plot twists. Viewers will enjoy following along with Kazuya and Victorique as they solve another complex mystery and navigate the intricacies of the high society of 1920s Europe.
