Ep 4. In Goof We Trust

In Goof We Trust is the fourth episode of the season one of Goof Troop. The adventures of Goofy, his son Max and his neighbor Pete continue. The episode begins with a getaway driver losing control of his car and crashing into the front yard of the Goof family. The robber then tries to escape on foot while being pursued by a police officer. Meanwhile, Goofy has discovered a bag of money lying on his lawn.

Pete and his wife Peg have just returned from the mall to find Goofy, Max and the police officer outside. The police officer claims that the robber has left a bag of stolen money lying in the yard and Goofy has picked it up. Pete is very skeptical and immediately accuses Goofy of being involved in the robbery. Goofy, however, insists that he has found it innocently and tries to convince his friend that he's not a crook.

Despite Goofy's protests, Pete remains convinced that his friend is hiding something. He decides to keep a watchful eye on Goofy to find proof of his guilt. Meanwhile, Max is eager to get his hands on the money and decides to spend it on a new skateboard. However, his dad is hesitant to let him keep the stolen cash. Max tries to convince him that he deserves it, as he is the one who initially found it.

Soon, Pete discovers that the money is missing from the evidence room at the police station and the police officer finds out that the money found on Goofy's lawn is the same as the missing money. This further strengthens the case against Goofy and makes him look increasingly guilty in Pete's eyes.

With the help of Max, Goofy sets out to clear his name by finding the real robber and clearing his own name. They follow some clues and finally end up at a biker bar. They quickly realize that the real thief is someone they least expected. They manage to capture him and bring him to the police to clear Goofy's name.

In the end, justice is served, and Goofy is proven innocent. Pete apologizes for his suspicions and the two friends make up. Max learns an important lesson about honesty and the lost money is returned to its rightful owner. The episode ends with the Goof family having a barbeque in their backyard, celebrating the happy conclusion of the case.
