Pete and Goofy decide to take their families on a camping trip, hoping to bond and spend some quality time together. However, the two dads have vastly different ideas about what camping should involve; while Pete wants to impose strict rules and schedules, Goofy is more interested in enjoying the great outdoors and having fun.
As the families begin to set up camp, tensions rise between Pete and Goofy as they struggle to coexist and compromise. Meanwhile, their kids Max and PJ come up with their own plans to make the most of their trip despite their dads' conflicting leadership styles.
As the day progresses, various misadventures and mishaps occur, including encounters with wild animals and equipment failures. The families must work together to overcome these challenges while learning valuable lessons about teamwork and communication.
In the end, Pete and Goofy realize that they may have different approaches to parenting and camping, but they both share a love for their families and a desire to create lasting memories together. They come to a mutual understanding and set aside their differences, ultimately enjoying a successful and fun-filled camping trip.
