In season 1, episode 7 of Good Witch, titled "The Storm," Middleton is gearing up for the annual Heritage Festival and the Merriwick-Davenport feud is at an all-time high. Meanwhile, Mayor Martha's efforts to secure funding for the festival hit a snag and she's forced to turn to Cassie for help. Elsewhere, Grace starts to realize that she's growing up too fast and is struggling to make time for both her teenage responsibilities and childhood playtime.
As the festival approaches, tension between the Merriwicks and Davenports continues to rise. Cassie tries her best to keep the peace, but the arrival of a storm creates chaos in Middleton. Cassie and Sam work together to help those affected by the storm, including a young musician who's been stranded in town. They also come up with a plan to bring the two feuding families together once and for all.
Meanwhile, Grace is torn between helping her mom and spending time with her friends. After a talk with Cassie, she realizes that growing up means balancing responsibilities and fun, and she may just have to let go of certain things in order to do so.
As the storm clears and the sun comes out, Middleton comes together for a beautiful Heritage Festival. The Merriwicks and Davenports finally reconcile, and Martha is able to secure the funding she needs for next year's festival. Cassie helps Grace realize that life is about finding balance and embracing change, as the episode ends on a heartwarming note.
