In the sixth episode of season 3 of Gold Rush: Alaska, titled The Ultimatum, tensions between the crew members continue to rise as they face challenges in their search for gold. Parker Schnabel and his team are faced with the daunting task of moving their massive wash plant upstream, in order to access better-quality dirt that could result in a bigger payday. However, the move is complicated by the harsh winter weather and the fact that the wash plant has never been moved before.

Meanwhile, Todd Hoffman and his team are struggling to keep their operation afloat after a series of setbacks and are beginning to feel the pressure of their looming deadline. As they attempt to clear a new cut, they discover that the ground is frozen solid, making it nearly impossible to mine. With time running out and tensions running high, Todd must decide whether to push his team harder or to cut his losses and call it quits for the season.

As the episode progresses, the crews are faced with additional challenges and setbacks, including equipment failures and sudden changes in the weather that threaten to derail their plans. Despite these obstacles, the crew members remain determined to find the gold they need to make their season a success, and they continue to work tirelessly to overcome one obstacle after another.

Throughout the episode, viewers are treated to stunning shots of Alaska's rugged wilderness, as well as intimate glimpses into the lives of the crew members as they struggle to balance their work with their personal lives. From Parker's close relationship with his grandfather to Todd's desire to provide for his family, the show highlights the human side of the gold mining industry, even as it dramatizes the high-stakes work of finding gold in one of the harshest environments on earth.

As the episode draws to a close, viewers are left on the edge of their seats, wondering whether the crews will be able to overcome the challenges before them and find the gold they need to succeed. With the stakes higher than ever before, and time running out, the ultimate fate of these intrepid miners is left up in the air, leaving viewers eagerly anticipating the next episode in this thrilling season of Gold Rush: Alaska.
