Diego and Porcupine Save the Pinata!, the fourth episode of the fourth season of Go, Diego, Go!, follows Diego and his friend, Porcupine, on a mission to save a pinata. At the beginning of the episode, we are introduced to a group of school children who are excited to celebrate their teacher's birthday with a pinata. However, when the teacher goes to retrieve the pinata from the barn, she discovers that it has gone missing.
Diego and Porcupine hear about the missing pinata and offer to help find it. They set off on a nature hike through the forest where they encounter various animals who may have seen the pinata. Along the way, they use their animal rescue skills to help a lost bird find its way back to its family, and stop a group of mischievous monkeys from stealing fruit.
As they continue their search for the pinata, Diego and Porcupine come across a herd of porcupines. Diego is excited to see his friend's family but realizes that they are all covered in prickly spines that could pop the pinata. He comes up with a plan to safely transport the pinata through the porcupine herd by covering it with soft foam.
While they are sneaking through the herd, they hear a noise and discover that the mischievous monkeys are following them. The monkeys have a wild pinata swinging party and in the process, accidentally release all the candy from the pinata. Diego and Porcupine quickly come up with a plan to gather all the candy back into the pinata before the teacher and her students arrive for the party.
In the end, the pinata is returned just in time for the party, and everyone is excited to celebrate with candy. The episode concludes with Diego and Porcupine joining in on the celebration and breaking a pinata of their own filled with healthy snacks for the animals.
