When it comes to planning the McKinley High prom, there are always some obstacles to overcome. In season three, episode 19 of Glee, titled "Prom-asaurus," the glee club faces the challenge of funding their own dinosaur-themed prom. With budget cuts hitting hard, the students have to get creative to make their prom a memorable night.
As the students prepare for prom, they each have their own concerns and dreams. For Finn, it's all about making sure his girlfriend Rachel has the perfect night. He enlists the help of his best friend Puck to come up with a grand romantic gesture. Meanwhile, Rachel is torn between her love for Finn and her dreams of making it big in New York City.
Santana is also feeling the pressure of prom. As a closeted lesbian, she's afraid of what people will think of her if she brings a girl as her date. Her girlfriend Brittany, who is openly bisexual, is determined to make prom a night to remember for Santana.
The rest of the glee club is mostly focused on the theme of the prom: dinosaurs. Artie is excited about the chance to show off his knowledge of prehistoric creatures. Tina is determined to make the perfect dress, even if it means staying up all night to finish it. And Blaine, still recovering from his recent breakup with Kurt, wants to make sure everyone's having a good time.
As the night of the prom approaches, tensions run high. Rachel's ex-boyfriend Jesse shows up, causing jealousy and drama. Puck's romantic gesture doesn't go quite as planned. And at the last minute, Santana decides to come out to her peers in an emotional and heartfelt speech.
Despite the odds against them, the glee club manages to make their prom a success. From Artie's dino-themed wheelchair to Tina's stunning dress, the students pull out all the stops to create a magical night. And even though not everything goes according to plan, they all come together to support one another and celebrate their friendship.
