Ep 1. Pilot

Pilot is the first episode of Glee's first season. The show starts with Will Schuester, a Spanish teacher at McKinley High School and a former member of the glee club, overhearing some of his students singing a song from the musical Grease. Impressed with their talent, Schuester decides to put together a new glee club with some of the school's misfits, and help them reach their dreams of performing and winning national championships.

Among the recruits for the glee club are Rachel Berry, a talented but snobbish girl who dreams of becoming Broadway's next big star; Kurt Hummel, a flamboyant and closeted gay student who's often bullied by other jocks at school; Finn Hudson, a popular athlete who secretly enjoys singing and dancing, yet is hesitant to join the glee club due to fear of being bullied; and Mercedes Jones, a powerhouse singer who's sometimes overlooked due to her weight.

As the group begins to form, it becomes clear that they'll face a lot of challenges and hurdles in achieving their dreams. The school's cheerleading coach, Sue Sylvester, is determined to shut down the glee club and divert all funds to her cheerleading squad. Meanwhile, some of the students, including Finn's girlfriend, Quinn, and her clique of popular girls, are dismissive towards the glee club and view it as a "loser" activity.

The episode features several musical performances, including a memorable rendition of "Don't Stop Believin'" by the glee club, which sets the tone for the entire series. The song becomes a sort of anthem for the group, inspiring them to keep pursuing their dreams despite the obstacles in their way.
