Maya is at her wits' end and decides to throw a party featuring a not-so-special guest, whom she hopes will elicit sympathy from her friends. Meanwhile, Joan lands a high-profile client, a rap singer named Jadakiss, and strives to show him how valuable she is but ends up making a mistake that Jadakiss's management observes. Elsewhere, Lynn and William team up to attend an auction where they purchase items from old relationships. The party quickly goes awry when the uninvited guest, Brock, and his girlfriend Tanya show up. When Brock tries to borrow money, Joan decides to take him out. While at the club, Joan embarrasses herself and alienates Jadakiss and his management over her handling of Brock. Joan tries to recover, but Tanya tells Maya and the ladies Joanna is an abuser. Maya decides to end the uncomfortable evening, but suddenly, things take a dark turn when someone is left unconscious. The famous rapper Jadakiss makes an appearance to promote his new music. Joan becomes the assigned attaché to Jadakiss. Joan believes she mustn't take any chances with Jadakiss; the smallest change might ruin a chance of business. She put herself in charge of Jadakiss's wellbeing, becoming hyperaware of everything Jadakiss. Jadakiss, on the other hand, is everything Joan hoped he wouldn't be; he's moody, with changes in music and tone, and people can't pin him down. Joan knows she needs to be diplomatic and strong and not allow herself to be pushed around or underestimated. She has to convince Jadakiss and his management team their publicity account in painting him in a positive light won't fail and secure the account for herself. Meanwhile, William and Lynn unite to acquire mementos of their ex-partners, which one of them ends up bidding for. It's all in good fun, but as the business part of the night comes to an end, it's clear all is not well between the friends. Hormones and intellectual differences bubble to the surface, and all their unspoken power struggles burst into the open. Despite all their issues, they try to make the best of a night out in hopes of easing the tension between them. Maya decides to throw an exclusive party to celebrate the success of her book. Maya has invited all of her closest friends, but when her ex-boyfriend shows up uninvited, things start to take a turn for the worse. Brock claims he's having problems with his girlfriend Tanya and needs some money, which doesn't sit well with Joan. Joan tries to help Brock, convinced that he deserves a second chance. But when Tanya spills the beans about some of Brock's previous behavior, Joan becomes determined to make a statement about his unacceptable actions. Things quickly escalate, leaving everyone at the party unsure whom to trust. To make matters worse, one of the guests ends up passed out, prompting a few questions. At this point, it seems like the friends are surrounding by wolves in sheep's clothing and everyone's loyalty is up for questioning.
