Maya's law firm is hired to work on a controversial case involving a rap artist named Stan. Though Maya initially has reservations about representing Stan, she takes on the job as she aims to prove her worth as a lawyer. Meanwhile, Joan enlists the help of a spiritual advisor to help her find love and navigate her dating life. However, her skepticism towards the advisor's methods lead to a rift between them. Toni deals with the aftermath of her engagement to Todd, while Lynn struggles to come to terms with the fact that her bandmate has a girlfriend. Through it all, the group of girlfriends continue to lean on each other for support and guidance as they navigate the ups and downs of life in their thirties.
