Ginga Nagareboshi Gin season 1 episode 2 is titled "Gin's Effort For The Other Side...There Is A Tomorrow!" and follows the continuation of the story from the first episode. The plot revolves around a young puppy called Gin who is the son of the legendary silver wolf Riki. Gin is on a mission to avenge his father's death and to protect the Ohu region from the evil Akakabuto, a ferocious bear who is terrorizing the area.
In this episode, Gin is shown to be struggling to find the courage to carry on his father's legacy, as he feels he is too young and inexperienced to take on such a big responsibility. His doubts get the better of him, and he begins to question whether he is truly cut out for the task ahead of him. His friend, Kurojaki, who is one of the dogs in Riki's pack, tries to comfort him and reminds him that he must stay strong and work hard to protect the other dogs in the Ohu region.
Meanwhile, the rest of Riki's pack is also hard at work, trying to prepare for the imminent battle with Akakabuto. They are digging trenches and constructing traps to help them in the fight. However, things take a turn for the worse when one of the traps backfires and injures one of the dogs. This incident shakes the other dogs' morale, and they begin to question their ability to defeat Akakabuto.
Gin decides that he must do everything in his power to inspire the other dogs and to show them that there is still hope. He embarks on a dangerous mission to find a rare herb that has healing properties that could help their injured comrade. His journey takes him through treacherous terrain, and he has to fend off attacks from wild animals along the way.
Despite the many obstacles in his path, Gin eventually finds the herb and returns to the pack, where he administers it to the injured dog. The dog makes a full recovery, and this inspires the other dogs to redouble their efforts to prepare for the battle with Akakabuto. They realize that they are all contributing to the same cause, and that they must work together and support each other if they are to win.
In the end, Gin's courage and determination inspire the other dogs, and they pledge to fight on and protect their homeland from Akakabuto. The episode ends with the dogs preparing for the battle, with a sense of hope and determination that had been lacking before.
