Lorelai Gilmore is preparing for her wedding to Luke Danes, but she is having trouble getting everything done on her own. To help her out, her mother Emily offers to drive her around town to take care of all of the last-minute details. Lorelai reluctantly accepts the offer, but she soon discovers that her mother's driving is a bit erratic and dangerous.
As they travel around town, Lorelai and Emily get into a number of arguments and misunderstandings. They fight over everything from the color of the flowers to the type of cake to be served at the reception. Along the way, they run into various townspeople, including Babette and Miss Patty.
Meanwhile, Rory and Logan are hanging out at his apartment, trying to avoid the drama of Lorelai's wedding planning. They end up having a deep conversation about their relationship and their future.
