In Gilmore Girls season 3 episode 10, entitled "That'll Do, Pig," Rory and Lorelai attend the annual Stars Hollow Winter Carnival while dealing with their own personal struggles.
Rory is still reeling from her recent breakup with Dean and turns to her grandmother, Emily, for solace. Emily suggests that Rory get a job to help take her mind off of Dean, and even goes so far as to set up an interview for her at the local newspaper. Meanwhile, Lorelai is dealing with her own romantic woes as she tries to navigate her relationship with businessman Max Medina.
At the Winter Carnival, Lorelai is asked to judge the town's annual pig festival and ends up bonding with one of the pigs, which she names "Babe." However, things take a turn for the worse when Babe's owner accuses Lorelai of cheating in the contest. In the end, Lorelai and Rory both find ways to move forward and ultimately come out stronger on the other side.
As always, the episode is filled with plenty of witty banter and pop culture references, as well as some touching moments between Rory and her grandparents. Fans of the series will appreciate the ongoing development of the characters' relationships and the continued exploration of themes of love, family, and friendship.
