Ep 13. A-Tisket, A-Tasket

Rory and Lorelai are preparing themselves for the upcoming Stars Hollow charity picnic basket auction. Rory creates a basket for Dean, and Lorelai decides to make one for Luke in hopes of changing his opinion of the auction. Meanwhile, Lane and her band prepare to take part in the auction, hoping to win the prize money and get their band some much-needed equipment. As the auction proceeds, Rory's basket for Dean becomes the center of attention, sparking a bidding war between Jess and Dean. Lane's band eventually wins the auction, beating out the town troubadour. The episode ends with Lane realizing her disappointment in not being able to win an auction for Dave, the leader of the band she has a crush on.
