At Chilton, Rory is stressed out by her upcoming Shakespeare test and turns to Lane for help. Lane agrees to help her study and even lends her the complete works of Shakespeare. However, this leads to Lane getting in trouble with her strict mother when she finds out that Lane is interested in Western music.
Back in Stars Hollow, Lorelai and Sookie struggle to prepare for their catering gig for the town's annual charity event.
