Ep 12. Double Date

Rory is excited for her first double date with her best friend Lane, but things don't go exactly as planned. Lane is paired up with her bandmate Dave, but the guys they're supposed to meet up with go to the wrong restaurant. In an effort to not waste their outfits, the girls and their dates decide to grab a bite at the restaurant they're at and end up having a good time despite the mix-up.

Meanwhile, Lorelai is dealing with the aftermath of her break-up with Max. Sookie tries to cheer her up by setting her up on a blind date with a friend of Jackson's, but Lorelai is reluctant to jump back into the dating game just yet. She eventually agrees to the date, but it doesn't go quite as planned either.

Throughout the episode, we see the differences between the two generations' approaches to dating. Rory is excited and open to new experiences, while Lorelai is more cautious and hesitant after a series of failed relationships. Despite their different outlooks, both mother and daughter learn valuable lessons about love and relationships in this heartwarming episode of Gilmore Girls.
