Ep 17. The Headless Horseman Caper

The Headless Horseman Caper is an episode from season 1 of Ghostbusters: The Animated Series. The episode begins with the Ghostbusters receiving a call to investigate strange occurrences in Sleepy Hollow. The team splits up, with Peter and Egon checking out the cemetery where the Headless Horseman was said to be buried, while Ray and Winston try to track down the ghostly figure. Peter and Egon find a tombstone with the inscription "Ichabod Crane," and they realize that the Headless Horseman is the ghost of Crane, who was cursed by a witch to ride around town forever.

Meanwhile, Ray and Winston follow the sounds of the Headless Horseman's horse and find the ghostly figure in the woods. They try to capture him, but the ghost is too powerful and escapes. The team regroups and comes up with a plan to capture the Headless Horseman once and for all.

They lure the ghostly figure to a bridge, where they have set up a trap. The Headless Horseman falls into the trap, and the Ghostbusters use their equipment to contain the ghost. They return to Sleepy Hollow and perform a ritual to break the curse that was placed on Ichabod Crane.

The episode ends with the locals of Sleepy Hollow thanking the Ghostbusters for their help and with the team driving off into the night, ready for their next paranormal adventure.
