Melinda comes to the aid of a woman who has been recently widowed. The woman has been experiencing strange happenings in her home and wants to know if her husband is trying to communicate with her from the other side. Melinda soon realizes that the woman's husband was not the only spirit in the house and begins to uncover a dark secret that has been hidden for years. As she delves deeper into the mystery, Melinda must confront her own feelings of loss and come to terms with her own past. Meanwhile, Jim and Melinda's relationship is put to the test when Jim is offered a job in Chicago and must decide whether or not to accept it.
