Ep 16. Ghost Busted

Melinda Gordon is a young woman with a unique talent - she can communicate with the dead. In the show Ghost Whisperer, we get to follow Melinda on her journey as she helps spirits that have not moved on to cross over into the light. In season 4, episode 16, titled Ghost Busted, we get to follow Melinda as she deals with a different kind of challenge.

The episode starts off with Melinda's husband, Jim, getting a phone call from the local police department. They have a case that they believe Melinda can help with. So, Melinda and Jim head over to the station to hear what the case is all about. It turns out that a local family has been experiencing some strange activity in their home. Doors are opening and closing on their own, objects are moving around and they can hear strange noises throughout the house. The family is convinced that their home is haunted and they are looking for some answers.

Melinda decides to investigate the case and heads over to the family's house. She meets with the family and begins to ask them questions about the strange activity. As she talks to them, she discovers that the activity only started happening after the family hired a new nanny to take care of their children. Melinda begins to suspect that the nanny might be the cause of the haunting.

Melinda decides to confront the nanny about her suspicions and finds out that the nanny has a hidden past. She used to be involved in the occult and has been practicing witchcraft in secret. Melinda believes that the nanny might be doing something to try and summon spirits into the house. Melinda tells the nanny to stop whatever she is doing and to leave the family's home, but the nanny refuses.

As the days go on, the strange activity in the family's home continues to get worse. Melinda decides to do some more investigating and discovers that the nanny has been using a Ouija board to try and communicate with the dead. Melinda knows that using a Ouija board can be very dangerous and decides to try and stop the nanny before things get even worse.

Melinda and Jim go to the local police department and tell them about the nanny's involvement in the haunting. The police decide to investigate and find evidence that the nanny has been involved in some illegal activity. They arrest the nanny and she is taken away to face the consequences of her actions.

With the nanny gone, the strange activity in the family's home comes to an end. Melinda speaks to the family one last time and assures them that they are safe now. The family is grateful to Melinda and to Jim for their help and thanks them both before they leave.

In Ghost Busted, we get to see Melinda deal with a different kind of challenge. Instead of helping a spirit cross over, Melinda has to deal with a human who is causing the haunting. The episode provides an interesting twist on the typical ghost story and keeps the viewer engaged from start to finish. Ghost Busted is a great addition to the Ghost Whisperer series and is a must-watch for fans of the show.
