Melinda and Jim find themselves in the middle of a high school rivalry between two basketball teams when a young athlete dies in a tragic accident. The basketball player, who was considered the star of his team, is unable to move on to the afterlife until he confronts a troubling secret that he's been keeping from his teammates. As Melinda investigates the death, she discovers that the spirit of the deceased young man is struggling to cope with the guilt of what happened.
