In Ghost Nation season 1 episode 8, titled "Trail of Terrors," the team investigates historic St. Anne's Retreat in Marlborough, Connecticut. The sprawling property was once a home for wayward girls and has since been plagued by reports of ghostly activity. The team has been called in to help the current owners figure out what's going on and hopefully bring some peace to the restless spirits who still roam the grounds.
Jason Hawes, Steve Gonsalves, and Dave Tango begin their investigation by exploring the sprawling grounds of St. Anne's Retreat. After some initial strange noises and unexplainable sightings, the team sets up their equipment and breaks off into two groups to cover more ground.
As they investigate the old buildings of the property, they experience numerous instances of unexplained occurrences. The team is spooked by shadow figures, strange bangs, and disembodied voices. Additionally, they come across evidence of some dark practices that were carried out on the property, including evidence of satanic rituals.
The team calls in paranormal historian Kerriann Flanagan Brosky to help them dig deeper into the history of the property. She explains that the property was originally owned by a wealthy family, who built the main house as a summer retreat. Eventually, the property was donated to the Catholic church and became a home for wayward girls in the 1950s. There are stories of abuse and neglect at the home, and it's believed that some of the spirits that still haunt the property are tied to these tragic events.
As the investigation continues, the team discovers a series of tunnels beneath the property. They are unsure what purpose the tunnels served, but the team is intrigued by the possibility that they could hold the key to some of the activity on the property. The team spends some time exploring the tunnels but unfortunately does not find any concrete evidence to confirm their theories.
Eventually, the team concludes their investigation of St. Anne's Retreat. While they didn't find any concrete evidence to confirm some of the most terrifying claims of activity, the team did experience numerous instances of unexplainable activity on the property. Additionally, the team was moved by some of the tragic stories they learned about the girls who once lived at the home.
Overall, "Trail of Terrors" is a spooky and thought-provoking episode of Ghost Nation. The team does a great job of exploring the history of the property and the tragic events that occurred there. Fans of the show will appreciate the detailed investigations and the many spooky moments captured on camera.
