The Ghost Hunters are back for another thrilling episode of supernatural exploration. In season 7 episode 8, titled “Knights of the Living Dead,” the team receives a call from a historic site in Rhode Island. The location is the home of an old military fort, which dates back to the American Revolution. It is rumored to be haunted by the spirits of soldiers who died in battle. The team is excited to investigate sightings, noises, and unexplained activity reported by the staff and visitors.
Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, the co-founders of TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society), lead the investigation. They are joined by their team, which includes Dave Tango, Steve Gonsalves, and Amy Bruni. They arrive at the site, a massive stone fortress perched on a hill overlooking the bay, just before dusk. The team sets up their equipment and prepares to explore the fort grounds, which are dimly lit and creepy.
The first stop is the fort’s underground tunnel system, which is said to be haunted by the ghost of a soldier who was killed in the line of duty. The team splits up into smaller groups and heads into the tunnels armed with night vision cameras, EVP (electronic voice phenomena) recorders, and EMF (electromagnetic field) detectors. They experience sudden temperature drops, unexplained noises, and spooky shadows that seem to move on their own. The team carefully documents everything they encounter, and as always, they remain skeptical until they can verify what they’ve found.
Next, the team investigates a reporter’s claim of unusual activity in the fort’s officer quarters. They notice scratches on the walls and a cold spot near the bed. Hawes and Wilson experience an uneasy feeling and believe the room harbors a ghostly presence. They use their cameras and detectors to capture evidence of the entity.
The highlight of the episode is a unique investigation that involves the fort’s reenactors, a group of volunteers who dress up in Revolutionary War-era costumes and perform skits for visitors. The team interviews the actors and learns that some of them have had strange experiences, including sightings of ghostly apparitions and the sound of footsteps and voices when no one else is around.
The reenactors agree to help the team with an experiment. They dress up in their uniforms and play the roles of dead soldiers “coming back to life” for one night only. The team sets up cameras and microphones around the fort and waits for the reenactors to begin their performance. As the show progresses, strange things start happening. One reenactor feels someone touch him, but when he turns around, no one is there. Another hears footsteps behind her, but no one is visible. The cameras catch eerie shadows moving along the walls, and the microphones pick up voices that don’t come from any of the actors. The team is thrilled to capture so much evidence in such a unique way, and the episode is packed with suspense and excitement.
As always, the Ghost Hunters team approach their investigation with a scientific mindset, ruling out natural explanations for any events before assuming they are paranormal. They put their credibility on the line with every investigation, and they are dedicated to finding the truth about the supernatural world. With its unique setting and thrilling experiments, “Knights of the Living Dead” is a standout episode that will leave viewers on the edge of their seats.
