In season 7 episode 15 of Ghost Hunters, titled "Ghost Of Carnegie," the team heads to the beautiful and historic town of Carnegie, Pennsylvania to investigate paranormal activity at the Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall.
Founded in 1895 by the philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, the library is steeped in history and has served as a community center for over a century. However, it's said that the building is haunted by the ghost of a former caretaker who died tragically on the property.
The team, consisting of lead investigators Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, along with team members Steve Gonsalves, Dave Tango, and Amy Bruni, begin by conducting a daytime walkthrough of the library to assess the layout and identify potential hotspots for paranormal activity.
Despite the building's grandeur and historical significance, the team discovers that the library's layout poses some challenges for their investigation. With multiple floors, narrow hallways, and cramped storage spaces, they must strategically place their cameras and audio equipment to capture any evidence of ghostly activity.
As night falls, the team splits up to cover different parts of the library. Tango and Bruni start off in the basement, where there have been reports of the ghostly caretaker making appearances. The basement is dark and musty, and the team immediately begins to experience strange noises and temperature drops.
Meanwhile, Gonsalves and newcomer Britt Griffith head up to the balcony, which overlooks the library's main hall. They set up a thermal imaging camera and attempt to communicate with any potential spirits using an EVP (electronic voice phenomena) recorder.
Hawes and Wilson, the seasoned investigators of the group, take on the second floor of the library, which includes the former director's office and several classrooms. As they conduct their investigation, they experience several unexplained disturbances, including footsteps and strange shadows.
Throughout the night, the team captures several pieces of compelling evidence of paranormal activity, including an EVP recording of what sounds like an otherworldly voice saying "hello" and multiple temperature drops in various parts of the building.
After reviewing their findings, the team concludes that there is indeed some sort of ghostly presence at the Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall. However, they're unable to definitively determine whether it's the spirit of the caretaker or someone else entirely.
Ghost Hunters season 7 episode 15 offers a fascinating glimpse into the world of paranormal investigation, as the team navigates a challenging investigation at a historic location. With tense moments, eerie sounds, and chilling encounters, it's a must-see episode for anyone interested in the unexplained.
