In this episode of Ghost Hunters season 6, the team travels to Sloss Furnace, a National Historic Landmark located in Birmingham, Alabama that was once a vital part of the city's booming iron industry. The furnace has a long and storied history, with many tragic incidents that make it a prime location for paranormal activity.
Upon their arrival, the team is greeted by a group of volunteers who provide them with a tour of the furnace and its surrounding buildings. The volunteers share stories of their own encounters with the supernatural, describing unexplained footsteps, voices, and even physical contact from unseen forces.
As they begin their investigation, the Ghost Hunters team sets up their equipment throughout the furnace, taking note of any unusual readings on their EMF meters and thermal imaging cameras. They also conduct several EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) sessions, asking questions in the hopes of eliciting a response from any spirits that may be present.
Throughout the night, the team experiences a number of strange occurrences. Doors slam shut on their own, eerie noises fill the air, and cold spots suddenly appear. They also capture some compelling evidence on their devices, including a shadow figure that seems to move across the screen.
One of the most chilling moments of the investigation occurs when one of the team members feels an intense pressure on her chest, causing her to struggle for breath. After retreating to a safe area, the team decides to focus their efforts on trying to communicate with whatever entity may be responsible for the attack.
Using a variety of techniques, including a Ouija board and a spirit box, the team attempts to make contact with the spirit. At first, their efforts prove unsuccessful, with the entity seeming to play games and avoid their questions. However, they eventually manage to make contact and are shocked by the information they receive.
As the night draws to a close, the team reflects on their experiences at Sloss Furnace. They are left with many questions and a newfound respect for the power of the paranormal. Despite the fear and uncertainty that comes with investigating haunted locations, they are more determined than ever to continue their work and shed light on the mysteries of the afterlife.
