In Ghost Hunters season 6 episode 17 titled "Grammar School Ghosts," the team heads to Millbury, Massachusetts, to investigate a former grammar school turned community center that is rumored to be haunted by the ghosts of former students and faculty.
The team is joined by the building manager, who has reported several instances of paranormal activity, including doors opening and closing on their own, strange noises, and the feeling of being watched. As they begin their investigation, the team splits up into smaller groups to cover more ground.
In one area of the school, Jason and Grant investigate reports of a ghostly apparition that has been seen wandering the halls. Using their thermal imaging cameras, they pick up a heat signature that appears to be moving towards them. As they follow the heat signature, they are led to an old classroom where they hear strange noises coming from inside. Upon entering the room, they discover that the source of the noise is a desk drawer that is opening and closing on its own. As they continue to investigate, they capture several EVPs (electronic voice phenomena) that seem to be voices of children.
Meanwhile, Steve and Tango explore the basement of the school, where there have been reports of a ghostly figure that appears to be standing in the corner. As they make their way through the dark and eerie basement, they hear strange tapping noises coming from behind a locked door. When they try to open the door, they discover that it is jammed shut. However, when they go back to check later, the door is inexplicably open.
Amy and Britt investigate a former classroom that is rumored to be haunted by the ghost of a former teacher who died in the room. Using their EVP recorder, they capture several voices asking for the teacher by name. As they continue their investigation, they hear strange scratching noises coming from a nearby closet. Upon closer inspection, they discover an old chalkboard eraser moving on its own.
As the investigation comes to a close, the team presents their evidence to the building manager. They show her the EVPs, the thermal imaging footage, and the footage of the locked door opening on its own. The manager is shocked and relieved to finally have some answers to the strange occurrences in the building.
In the end, the team leaves Millbury with the knowledge that the former grammar school is indeed haunted by the ghosts of former students and faculty. The investigation proves to be one of their most compelling yet, and they leave the building with a newfound respect for the spirits that still roam its halls.
