Ep 2. Pennhurst Asylum

In season 3 episode 2 of Ghost Asylum, the team sets their sights on Pennhurst Asylum, a former mental institution in Pennsylvania infamous for its brutal treatment of patients. The team believes that the energy of the patients who suffered and died here may still linger, and they are determined to make contact with any spirits that still call this place home.

As they begin their investigation, the team is immediately struck by the eerie atmosphere of the abandoned facility. Their first task is to find a way inside, as the asylum has been closed for many years and the entrances have been boarded up. They finally gain access through a series of interconnected tunnels that run beneath the building.

Once inside, the team splits up to cover as much ground as possible. They use a variety of tools, including thermal imaging cameras, EMF detectors, and spirit boxes, to try and pick up any signs of paranormal activity. The team's leader, Chris Smith, is particularly interested in the asylum's electroshock therapy room, where patients were subjected to painful and controversial treatments in the name of cure.

As the investigation progresses, the team members start to hear strange noises and feel unusual cold spots. They also pick up several EVPs (electronic voice phenomena) that sound like voices speaking from beyond the grave. The team is excited by these signs of potential paranormal activity and continues to explore the asylum, hoping to capture even more evidence of haunting.

However, as the night wears on, things start to take a darker turn. The team members begin to feel as though they are being watched and followed by malevolent spirits. One team members report being physically attacked by an invisible force. The team starts to feel increasingly uneasy and decide to call it a night.

Despite the terrifying experiences they have had, the team is determined to return to Pennhurst Asylum for a second investigation. They believe that they are making progress towards understanding the energy of this place and that they can ultimately help any trapped spirits find peace. The episode ends with the team planning their next visit, eager to delve even deeper into the mysteries of this haunted location.
