Ep 5. Yost Theatre & Ritz Hotel

In season 8, episode 5 of Ghost Adventures, the team travels to Santa Ana, California to investigate two hotspots for paranormal activity: the Yost Theatre and the Ritz Hotel.

The Yost Theatre has been a fixture of the Santa Ana community since 1917, starting out as a vaudeville theater before becoming a movie theater in the 1930s. Over the years, the Yost has hosted a variety of events, from live music to dance parties to private events. However, many people believe that the Yost is also home to several ghosts.

The first ghostly presence the Ghost Adventures team encounters is a female entity who seems to haunt the backstage area of the theater. She is believed to be the spirit of a former employee who was killed in an accident while working at the Yost. The team also hears reports of a ghostly figure that appears on the balcony during performances, as well as strange occurrences in the men's restroom, including phantom noises and toilet paper dispensers that move on their own.

Moving on to the Ritz Hotel, the team learns that the building has a long and sordid history. Built in 1917 as a luxury hotel, the Ritz fell on hard times during the Great Depression and became a boarding house. Over the years, the hotel gained a reputation as a haven for prostitution, drug use, and other illicit activities.

The Ghost Adventures team investigates several rooms at the Ritz Hotel, including Room 214, which is said to be haunted by the spirit of a woman who died in the room while working as a sex worker. Guests and staff members have reported hearing strange noises and feeling an eerie presence in the room.

Another area of the hotel that the team investigates is the basement, which was once used as a speakeasy during Prohibition. The team discovers evidence of a possible bootlegging operation, as well as a mysterious figure that seems to be lurking in the shadows.

Throughout the episode, the Ghost Adventures team uses a variety of tools to try to capture evidence of paranormal activity, including an EVP (electronic voice phenomenon) recorder, a thermal imaging camera, and a laser grid. They also interview several witnesses who have had their own experiences with ghosts and spirits at the Yost Theatre and Ritz Hotel.

As always, the Ghost Adventures team faces their fair share of challenges and obstacles during their investigation. However, their dedication to uncovering the truth about these haunted locations helps shed light on the mysterious world of the paranormal.
