In season 7 episode 12 of Ghost Adventures, titled "Death by Wild West," the team travels to Yuma, Arizona, to investigate the paranormal activity surrounding the infamous Yuma Territorial Prison. This prison was in operation from 1876 to 1909 and housed some of the most dangerous criminals of the Wild West era.
The Ghost Adventures crew begins their investigation inside the prison's dark and eerie cell blocks, where they immediately feel a sense of unease. As they make their way through the prison, they hear unexplained noises and feel as though they are being watched. They also use various pieces of paranormal equipment to try and communicate with any spirits that may be present.
One of the highlights of the episode is when the crew ventures into the prison's tunnels, which were used to transport prisoners and supplies. The tunnels are incredibly narrow and dark, and the team must crawl on their hands and knees to navigate them. While in the tunnels, they experience unsettling phenomena, including strange whispers and the feeling of being touched by unseen entities.
The crew also investigates the prison's hospital wing, where prisoners were treated for illness and injuries. This area is rumored to be haunted by the ghost of a nurse who died in the hospital. While there, the team captures some of their most compelling evidence of the episode, including unexplained footsteps and the sound of a woman's voice.
Throughout the episode, the crew also speaks with former prison employees and historians to learn more about the prison's history and the men who were incarcerated there. They uncover stories of brutal violence, tragic deaths, and inhumane living conditions, all of which may have contributed to the prison's lingering paranormal activity.
As the investigation comes to a close, the team reflects on their experiences at the Yuma Territorial Prison and the evidence they captured. They acknowledge that while they may never be able to fully explain the ghostly phenomena they witnessed, they have gained a deeper understanding of the prison's dark and tragic past.
