In the fourth episode of season 23 of Ghost Adventures, Zak Bagans and his team travel to the quiet town of Antelope in Oregon to investigate a mysterious case. Antelope was the site of a controversial event in the 1980s where a religious cult called Rajneeshpuram settled and caused chaos in the community. The town has since been abandoned, and the team must navigate through the decrepit buildings to uncover any paranormal activity.
The episode begins with Zak and his crew driving through the empty streets of Antelope, which has a hauntingly desolate feel. The team arrives at an old schoolhouse, where they are met by a local historian who shares her knowledge of the town's troubled past. The group sets up their equipment and begins their investigation, starting with the schoolhouse's basement. It's not long before they start experiencing strange occurrences, including unexplained noises and equipment malfunctions.
The team then moves to the old jailhouse that was used by the cult leaders to imprison their own people. Zak and Aaron enter the small, claustrophobic cells where they start to feel a sense of dread and unease. As they investigate further, they begin to uncover evidence of the cruel treatment that took place in the jailhouse, including a blood stain on the wall.
The investigation takes a turn when they visit an old hotel that was used by the cult. The building is rumored to be haunted by the ghost of a young girl who was murdered by the cult leaders. As they explore the hotel, they hear strange noises and footsteps, and the temperature drops dramatically in certain areas. The team uses a spirit box, an EVP device, and other tools to try and communicate with the spirit of the young girl, hoping to uncover more information about her tragic fate.
One of the most unsettling moments in the episode takes place when the team visits a small cemetery where some of the residents of Rajneeshpuram are buried. As they walk among the graves, they start to feel a presence and hear eerie whispers that seem to be coming from all around them. The team captures some unusual readings on their equipment, leading them to believe that there might be dark energy lurking in the cemetery.
The episode ends with the team leaving Antelope with more questions than answers about the strange occurrences they experienced. Zak reflects on the harrowing investigation, musing on the possibility that the ghostly entities they encountered were linked to the town's infamous past. Even though they didn't find all the answers they were looking for, the team's investigation of Antelope will certainly go down in Ghost Adventures history as a chilling and unforgettable adventure.
