Ep 14. Extra Pulses: Loftus Hall

  • June 6, 2015

The thirteenth season of the paranormal reality series, Ghost Adventures, features an episode entitled "Extra Pulses: Loftus Hall". This episode follows the team of paranormal investigators consisting of Zak Bagans, Aaron Goodwin, Billy Tolley, and Jay Wasley as they explore Loftus Hall in County Wexford, Ireland.

Loftus Hall is considered to be one of the most haunted locations in Ireland, with a dark and mysterious history dating back more than 600 years. The hall was originally built in the 1350s by the Redmond family and became known as a place of wealth and luxury. However, the property was later sold to the Loftus family, who used the building as a convent and a hotel, and it is during this period that the haunting began.

The most well-known haunting of Loftus Hall is that of a mysterious woman named Anne Tottenham, who is said to have visited the property in the 18th century during a stormy night. According to legend, she was invited inside the hall by the family but disappeared during a game of cards, leaving behind only a strange, burned imprint on the floor where she had been standing. Today, visitors still report feeling Anne's presence throughout the hall, with some even claiming to have seen her ghostly figure.

As the Ghost Adventures team begins their investigation, they are immediately struck by the ominous feeling that permeates the halls of Loftus. Zak Bagans, the lead investigator, notes that he feels like he has entered a "time warp" and that the energy of the hall is unlike anything he has experienced before. The team begins by exploring the various rooms of the hall, including the chapel, the drawing room, and the infamous card room where Anne Tottenham is said to have disappeared. They capture a number of strange, unexplained noises and EVPs (electronic voice phenomena), leading them to believe that the spirit of Anne is still present in the building.

The team also learns about another tragic incident that occurred at Loftus Hall in the 19th century. During a thunderstorm, a young man named Charles Tottenham was struck by lightning while standing on the roof of the hall. He fell through the ceiling and died instantly, leaving behind his grieving family. The team investigates the area where Charles fell and captures some of their most compelling evidence of the entire investigation. They capture a dark figure on their thermal imaging camera, which appears to be watching them from the shadows.

As the night progresses, the Ghost Adventures team descends into the basement of the hall, where they discover a long-forgotten corridor leading to an underground tunnel. The tunnel is dark and claustrophobic, with an eerie feeling that seems to grow stronger as the team makes its way deeper underground. Here, they capture some of the most unsettling EVPs of the entire investigation, including a chilling, whispered voice that says, "Get out".

Throughout the course of the investigation, the team uncovers a great deal of evidence suggesting that Loftus Hall is indeed haunted by the spirits of its past. From the eerie noises and strange feelings to the compelling visual evidence captured on their cameras, the Ghost Adventures team leaves no stone unturned in their quest to uncover the truth behind the haunting of Loftus Hall.

In conclusion, "Extra Pulses: Loftus Hall" is a chilling and compelling episode of Ghost Adventures that is not to be missed by fans of the show. With its haunting history and eerie atmosphere, Loftus Hall proves to be the perfect location for the team to investigate, and the evidence they capture is sure to send shivers down the spines of even the most skeptical viewers.
