The episode begins with Zak, Aaron, and Jay locked down inside the haunted Roosevelt Hotel in California amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. They start by discussing the impact of the pandemic on the paranormal investigation industry and how the lack of public access to these locations is affecting their work.
The team decides to conduct a series of experiments to reach out to the spirits haunting the hotel. They begin by trying to communicate with the spirits using audio recordings. They record several EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomena) that seem to respond to their questions about the pandemic, but they can't quite make out what the spirits are saying.
Next, they set up a device called the "Tesla Spirit Radio," which is believed to receive transmissions from the spirit world. They hear some strange sounds coming through the radio and believe they may be related to the pandemic.
The team then attempts to summon the spirits using a Ouija board. They are surprised when the board begins to move on its own, spelling out messages they believe are from the spirits. However, they quickly realize that they may have a malevolent entity in the room with them and decide to end the session early.
To further investigate the strange occurrences, the team sets up a device called a REM Pod, which detects changes in the electromagnetic field. The device goes off several times, indicating that there may be a spirit present.
The team concludes the episode by discussing how the pandemic has affected the paranormal community and how they are adapting to the new challenges they face. They reflect on their experiences at the Roosevelt Hotel and how they were able to use technology to communicate with the spirits despite the difficult circumstances.
