Ep 2. Ironhand

Maxwell Smart (Don Adams) and Agent 99 (Barbara Feldon) must stop the evil organization KAOS from smuggling a deadly new weapon known as the Ironhand into the United States. The Ironhand is a robotic hand that can crush anything in its grip with incredible force, and KAOS plans to use it to hold the country hostage.

Max and 99 begin their investigation by infiltrating an art gallery where KAOS is rumored to be dealing the weapon. While posing as a couple interested in one of the paintings, they discover a secret door leading to a KAOS laboratory. However, KAOS agents quickly catch them, and they narrowly escape capture by using a device that creates fake duplicates of themselves.

During the tour of the yacht, Max and 99 discover the Ironhand hidden inside a statue. They manage to switch the Ironhand with a decoy, but their cover is blown when Malcolm discovers the ruse and knocks Max unconscious.

Max wakes up to find himself trapped in a room rigged with booby traps, while 99 is held captive by Malcolm. Max manages to escape by using his shoe phone to call for backup from the Control team, who send a robot to disable the traps. Meanwhile, 99 uses her spy skills to disarm Malcolm and free herself.

The episode culminates in a climactic battle on board the yacht, where Max and 99 must use all their wits and gadgets to defeat KAOS and prevent the Ironhand from falling into their hands. With the help of their colleagues from Control, they emerge victorious and save the day once again.
