Ep 16. House of Wax (2)

Maxwell Smart is a bumbling secret agent working for CONTROL, a government spy agency. In season 5 episode 16, titled "House of Wax (2)," Max is on a mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist, Dr. Wong, who has invented a ray gun capable of disintegrating steel. The scientist has been taken by the villainous organization KAOS, who are determined to use the ray gun for nefarious purposes.

Max enlists the help of his partner, Agent 99, to infiltrate the wax museum where Dr. Wong is being held captive. However, their cover is blown when they are discovered by one of the museum's attendants. Max and 99 are forced to improvise a plan to escape the museum and continue their mission.

Meanwhile, KAOS agents are working to extract the secret of the ray gun from Dr. Wong. They use a series of elaborate and comedic tactics to try and get the information they need, but Dr. Wong manages to hold out against their interrogation.

As Max and 99 work their way deeper into the museum, they discover that the villains have set a trap for them. They are attacked by a giant robotic spider and narrowly escape with their lives. Undeterred, Max and 99 press on, determined to save the scientist and prevent KAOS from getting their hands on the powerful ray gun.

With the help of some hi-tech gadgets and clever disguises, Max and 99 manage to rescue the kidnapped scientist and thwart KAOS's plans. In a dramatic showdown, Max and the villains engage in a wacky battle that includes everything from exploding wax figures to ridiculous attempts at hand-to-hand combat.

In the end, Max emerges victorious, and Dr. Wong's ray gun is kept out of the wrong hands. As always, the episode is full of over-the-top antics, slapstick humor, and clever twists and turns. Fans of the show will delight in this classic example of the series' unique blend of action, comedy, and absurdity.
