Ep 25. The Not-So-Great Escape (2)

Maxwell Smart, agent 86, and his partner Agent 99 are trapped in a POW camp in the final episode of season 4 of "Get Smart." The episode, titled "The Not-So-Great Escape (2)," sees our heroes trying to escape the clutches of their captors while also trying to prevent enemy agents from carrying out a dangerous plot.

The episode opens with Max and 99 trying to dig their way to freedom using spoons from their meal tray. However, their plan is interrupted by the arrival of an enemy agent named Otto (played by none other than John de Lancie of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" fame). Otto has come to the camp to oversee the final stages of a plan to capture a high-ranking U.S. official and use him as leverage in exchange for a top-secret formula. Max and 99 must find a way to escape with the information they have gathered and stop Otto before it's too late.

Meanwhile, back at Control headquarters, the Chief is desperately trying to find a way to rescue Max and 99. He decides to launch a fake news story about a famous football player defecting to the enemy side in hopes of luring Otto into revealing his location. The plan works, and the Chief and his team are able to pinpoint Otto's position.

As Max and 99 continue to plot their escape, they stumble upon a secret radio transmitter. They are able to use it to contact the Chief and relay the information they have about Otto's plan. The Chief orders them to stay put and wait for extraction, but Max and 99 know that time is running out.

In a daring move, they decide to act on their own and attempt a dangerous escape. After knocking out a guard and stealing a truck, they make a run for the fence. However, they are soon discovered and must fight off their captors in a thrilling action sequence. With the help of some unlikely allies, Max and 99 are able to make their way to an open field where they are picked up by a helicopter and flown to safety.

But their mission is not over yet. They must still stop Otto before he can carry out his plan. In a tense showdown, Max and 99 face off against Otto and his henchmen. With the help of the Chief and his team, they are able to outsmart their opponents and save the day.

"The Not-So-Great Escape (2)" is a satisfying conclusion to season 4 of "Get Smart." It features all of the trademark humor, action, and suspense that fans of the show have come to love. The chemistry between Don Adams and Barbara Feldon is as strong as ever, and the supporting cast is top-notch. Whether you're a longtime fan of the series or a newcomer, this episode is sure to entertain.
