Ep 30. A Man Called Smart (3)

Maxwell Smart is an agent working for CONTROL, a secret agency focused on stopping the diabolical plans of their enemies at KAOS. In season 2 of the show, Smart has proven to be a valuable agent, though often at the expense of his partner, Agent 99, who frequently has to bail him out of sticky situations.

In episode 30 of season 2, titled "A Man Called Smart (3)", we find Smart in a predicament. He has been kidnapped by KAOS, who believe him to be a Russian spy named Ivan Tregorin. In a previous episode, Smart had undergone plastic surgery to change his appearance to look like Tregorin, in order to infiltrate the organization. However, KAOS had gotten wind of the plot and captured Smart/Tregorin.

Agent 99 and the Chief of CONTROL are aware of Smart's situation and are trying to figure out a way to rescue him. Meanwhile, in captivity, Smart is playing along with the idea that he is really Tregorin in the hopes of gathering information on KAOS's plans.

As Smart bides his time, he eventually meets the real Ivan Tregorin, who is also being held captive by KAOS. Tregorin is a former KAOS agent who left the organization and now poses a threat to their plans. KAOS is trying to force Tregorin to steal a valuable formula for them, and they believe that Smart/Tregorin is the key to getting it.

Smart and Tregorin come up with a plan to escape, which ends up involving Agent 99 disguising herself as a KAOS agent in order to help them. However, the plan hits some snags along the way, and Smart and Tregorin find themselves in a desperate situation. To make matters worse, KAOS is getting closer to obtaining the formula they are after.

It falls to Smart to think on his feet and come up with a way to save himself, Tregorin, and prevent KAOS from achieving their goal. Along the way, there are twists and turns, suspenseful moments, and plenty of humor as Smart uses his wits and gadgets to save the day.

"A Man Called Smart (3)" is a classic episode of Get Smart that showcases the series' humor and action in equal measure. Fans of the show will enjoy seeing Maxwell Smart in another tricky situation, while newcomers to the series will appreciate the episode's fast pace and clever writing. Whether you're a longtime fan or a newcomer to the show, "A Man Called Smart (3)" is a must-watch for fans of classic 1960s television.
