Ep 17. Kisses for KAOS

In "Kisses for KAOS," the seventeenth episode of the first season of the classic spy television series Get Smart, agent Maxwell Smart (played by Don Adams) is assigned to investigate reports of a KAOS spy ring operating in the fashion industry. The mission takes on an added dimension of danger when Smart is informed that an enemy operative known as The Claw (played by Michael Dunn) is known to be in town, overseeing the operation.

Max tries to work his way up from parking attendant to model in the fashion show, but to no avail.

As Max investigates possible leads in the fashion industry, he is drawn in by the beautiful women of the fashion industry. Two of these women, Maxine and Melissa, who is played by future Bond girl Caroline Munro, become particularly interested in Max, causing Agent 99 to become jealous.

Maxine and Melissa, who are connected to KAOS, both make moves on Max where he realizes that he is getting too involved by falling for them. As he becomes more entwined with them, the potential danger increases, and Max must navigate the world of espionage and fashion to save the day for his country.

The Claw, an agent from KAOS who has a hook for a hand, has arrived in town to make sure the coat arrives at its new destination safely. He tracks Max to the fashion show and sets out to hunt him down, leading to a thrilling confrontation between the two. Meanwhile, Maxine invites Max to a party which is hosted by The Claw, luring him into a trap.

In a classic Get Smart twist, Max must rely on his quick thinking and ingenuity to extricate himself from a difficult situation. Using his trademark humor and wit, he manages to keep himself safe and save the day for CONTROL from the sinister plans of KAOS. Max's solo work leads to many laughs, twists, and turns until the episode reaches its surprising conclusion.
