George to the Third Power is the thirteenth episode of the fourth season of the American television sitcom George Lopez. It first aired on February 1, 2005, on ABC. The show is created by George Lopez and Bruce Helford.

The episode starts with George (played by George Lopez) and Angie (played by Constance Marie) trying to instill discipline in their kids. They decide to punish their son, Max (played by Luis Armand Garcia), and put him under a lockdown restriction. George's mother, Benny (played by Belita Moreno), considers this to be too harsh and is against this kind of discipline. She argues that George himself was a wild child and refused to be disciplined as a kid.

As the episode progresses, George starts to realize that he has a lot in common with his son. He sees himself in Max and begins to relive some of his childhood memories. George remembers how his father treated him when he was a kid and how he used to feel isolated and alone. He starts to feel guilty for not being a better father to Max. He seeks advice from his friend and co-worker, Ernie (played by Valente Rodriguez), who suggests George should try to connect with Max on a personal level.

George takes Ernie's advice and tries to bond with Max over video games. However, it doesn't work out as planned, and Max still feels neglected. George then tries to teach Max how to fix a car engine, but they end up making a mess in the garage. Frustrated and overwhelmed, George confides in Angie, who helps him realize that he is doing the best he can as a father and that's all that matters.

The episode ends with George and Max having a heart-to-heart conversation, where George apologizes for not being there for him and vows to be a better dad. Max forgives him, and the two reconcile, with Max saying he loves his dad.

In George to the Third Power, the show tackles the theme of parenthood and discipline. It highlights the struggles parents face while trying to raise their children in a way that will benefit them. The episode also deals with the issue of absentee fathers and the impact they can have on their children's lives. Throughout the episode, George and Max's relationship is portrayed as strained, but by the end, they come together and have a better understanding of each other.

Overall, George to the Third Power is a heartfelt and touching episode that showcases the strength of parental bonds and the importance of being there for your children. The acting is superb, and the writing is top-notch, making it a must-watch for fans of the show and newcomers alike.
