Ep 8. Outpost

In season 2 episode 8 of Generator Rex titled "Outpost", we find Rex and the gang heading out to investigate a Petting Zoo, which has been reported as a potential EVO hotspot. Upon arriving, they quickly realize that the Petting Zoo is more than just a simple tourist attraction. It is, in fact, a secret underground base for an advanced military organization known as The Keep. In this episode, Rex, Agent Six, and Bobo Haha must team up to protect the Petting Zoo and its inhabitants from a group of EVO hunters who have infiltrated the area.

As soon as Rex and his team arrive at the Petting Zoo, they are confronted by a group of the Keep's soldiers. They try to explain why they are there, but their words fall on deaf ears. Eventually, they are taken to see the leader of the Keep, a man named Captain Calan, who agrees to hear them out. Rex explains that the Petting Zoo is an EVO hotspot and that they are there to investigate in case the EVOs start to act up. Captain Calan seems skeptical but agrees to let Rex explore the Petting Zoo grounds.

While wandering around the Petting Zoo, Rex and the gang discover a secret laboratory where The Keep has been conducting experiments on EVOs in order to create a super soldier. There, they meet a scientist named Luna who has been working on the project. Luna explains that they have developed a microchip that, when implanted into an EVO's brain, allows them to control the creature's actions. Rex is appalled at the idea of controlling an EVO's mind in such a way, and he immediately begins to look for a way to shut down the project.

As Rex and his team work to stop the Keep's project, they are interrupted by a group of EVO hunters who have infiltrated the Petting Zoo. The hunters are a group of soldiers who are seeking to capture EVOs to sell them on the black market. This puts both the Petting Zoo and The Keep in danger. Rex and his team must work together with Captain Calan and his soldiers to stop the EVO hunters and protect the Petting Zoo.

Throughout the episode, we see Rex and his team work together to stop the threat posed by the EVO hunters. Agent Six shows off his impressive fighting skills and Bobo Haha provides some much-needed comic relief. Luna, the scientist behind the Keep's project, has many revelations, leading to some unexpected twists and turns.

In the end, Rex and his team are able to stop the EVO hunters, shut down the Keep's EVO control project, and protect the Petting Zoo. Captain Calan and his soldiers come to respect Rex's abilities and invite him to join the Keep. Rex ultimately declines, choosing instead to remain in Providence and continue to fight against the EVO threat. The episode ends with Rex and his team walking away from the Petting Zoo, ready to face whatever threat the world has in store for them next.

Overall, "Outpost" is an exciting and action-packed episode of Generator Rex. It has a little bit of everything: secret labs, evil scientists, soldiers, EVO hunters, and of course, plenty of EVOs. The episode expands upon the world-building that has already been established in the show and sets the stage for even more thrilling adventures to come for Rex and his team.
