She now is looking for strength to move forward and raise her children through this terrible trial, but she knows she can't do this alone. Natalie has decided to embark on her personal generations project in hopes that she will find strength from her ancestors who may have passed through similar challenges. If she is unable to find ancestors she can connect with she may continue to feel overwhelmed and drained and unable to have the strength to push forward through life challenges.

After returning home from war, Eli started an organization that promotes peace for indigenous war veterans, and through her journey she has learned that to promote peace you can't demand it. As an indigenous female and war veteran herself, she has felt robbed of her ancestral identity and her own peace. Eli has decided to embark on her generations project so that she learn from those ancestors who have struggled for purpose and peace. Eli hopes that by reclaiming her ancestral heritage and really understanding the blood that runs through her veins she will be able to find her path to healing. If Eli is unable to connect with her ancestors, she will be unable to find the peace that she longs and that she feels will enable her to continue the work she started with her peace organization.
